Just this week I have sent home a letter about ordering recorders in 4th grade. Recorders are an important tool that we use in the music room to further our melodic and rhythm literacy. You may be curious to know what I do with all the assessments that you hear each class doing on this website. Well, after the initial grade that I write on the paper for the student to bring home, I listen again to each child sing on the recording and use a rubric to grade the voice with more detail.
